DANCING PLAGUE

Premio Lorenzo Bonaldi per l’Arte – EnterPrize, 11th Edition

In the series of paintings titled Blind Swim, forms flow between the plant, human, and animal. They are hybrid and in motion with others; their head characteristics dissipate, their identity is diffused among various organisms, so they sprout and become leafy stalks; they grow feathers, butterfly or moth wings. All seem to be interdependent and interconnected, challenging any kind of life hierarchy. Rosier pictures them in a moment of joy, of serenity without stillness. Movement is integral to the construction of this political imaginary, a movement of tenderness and care, a dance across surfaces, escaping narrow demarcations.
